The PEKING is a four-masted steel barque and belonged to the famous Flying P-Liners of the F. Laeisz shipping company. Built in 1911 at the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg, it sailed around Cape Horn to Chile until 1932 to transport the valuable raw material saltpetre to Germany. On the second Sunday of every month, the history and present of the ship is told in english.HOW TO BOOK YOUR TICKETPlease choose an available date and starting time in the schedule below.Maximum 4 tickets per booking.PLEASE NOTEMeeting point by the cash desk in front of the PEKING 15 minutes before start.The guided tours on board the PEKING aren't recommended to handicapped persons. Walkers, wheel chairs, buggies etc. can't be carried along.Please wear sturdy shoes.Price: 15 Euro (including exhibition of the German Port Museum). Under 18's are free of charge but they do need a ticket.Maximum 15 persons per guided tour.Duration ca. 60 minutes.For safety reasons please note the minimum height for participants is 1,20 m.
